Jude verse 21
"Guard and keep yourself in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) - [which will bring you] unto life eternal" (Jude verse 21, AMP)
To guard means to "watch over". Love offers a strong foundation upon which you can stand to watch and keep your life firmly rooted on the Lord. With so many competing interests in our world today it can be difficult to choose the tools with which to watch over your life. The world systems offer so many solutions that are not quite what they appear to be on closer examination but the Word of God gives lasting solutions to every problem imaginable. Medical reports of disease and infirmity whether pronounced directly to you or to someone close to you can shake the foundation of your faith if you do not guard and keep yourself in the love of God. Credit companies and other lenders offer solutions that conceal problems in small print known in law as "exclusion clauses". So, not even the solutions offered by the world systems are able to guard and keep you in love and peace of mind. But today the Bible urges you to; "expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [which will bring you] unto life eternal. The Word of God is 'problem free' and 'solution proof', so why don't you dig into the Word of God now and pull out the weapon with which to guard and keep yourself in the love and assurance of God's promises to you. His promises are a token of His love.
May the peace of God rule your heart today and forever, Amen.
