Jonathan Bellamy spoke with Charlie Clayton from 24/7 Prayer Ibiza

Continued from page 2

Jon: So if anyone reading this is going to go to Ibiza this summer, can you give me an idea of how they can find you? But also there'll be some people who may be interested and say you know, I like what they're doing, I'd like to help out. What should they do?

Prayer On The Streets Of Ibiza

Charlie: If you're anywhere in the West End, just ask where 24/7 Ibiza are and you'll be pointed either to our centre, or to one of our teams walking round with black tee shirts with our logo on the front. You can find us there and come and connect with us. We do have a Sunday service as well where people come and visit and see what we do, that's a really good way to do it. But we do have about 70 volunteers that come out and the age range is huge, so there's isn't really an age limit on this - this is about people who are willing to be compassionate and get involved with the culture in Ibiza. If people want to come on teams, people can connect with us. If anyone wants to support us financially they can do that as well. All the information is on our website, which is 24-7ibiza.com and you can get more of a flavour about who we are and what we do.

Jon: There's also a great video of all your work out there as well. Charlie it's great to meet you, let me ask you one other question - that's, that you are out there working six months of the year, what about the other six months, do you lie on a beach?

Charlie: Yeah we'd love to. It's certainly more relaxing. To be honest it takes about two months to recover from the nocturnal rhythm, so you do slow down a bit, but we're building great relationships and friendships in our community. This isn't just a summer thing and then the rest of the time we do nothing; we continue to build friendships and relationships in our local area and also plan for the many people that come out for the seasons, but there is a little bit of relaxing. CR
