Paul Calvert caught up with Ruth Ben Yoseph

Ruth: Well, translation can be a practical problem. We have Hebrew, Arabic and we have English, so sometimes it can be hard to get the right language for the group. Some know this, some know that, some don't know this and some don't know that.

Paul: Now you've just completed a huge project, what was that?

Ruth: This was a CD project. We made a Messianic Christian CD. I have a friend who is a Messianic Jew who had written some songs and she wanted to give those songs to King's Kids, so we started rehearsals and taught the kids and youth the songs, which was a lot of work! Then we took them all into the studio to record and now we have our very own CD called "You Can Believe". It was very exiting to practice with the kids but it is also good for the kids to see the testimony of how we can bless people with the music we make, for believers and non believers.

Paul: It can't have been easy to get a load of screaming children together to sing some songs, how easy was it?

Ruth: Well yes, you know what kids are like, there isn't always so much patience, but by God's grace we did it by prayer and having games in the middle and rehearsing again and again.

Paul: What are your future plans now?

Ruth: In a few weeks we will be flying as a group to Canada to minister over there. We will be in the churches, on the streets, in the shopping malls and again in a youth custody centre, which will be exiting. Hopefully we can put a vision into some of those troubled hearts, and then when we get back, we are planning to make a King's Kids DVD which will be very much a pioneering work. CR
