Teen and sub-teen pop from a new US all singing, all dancing group. |

Reviewed by James Lidgett A growing concern within the Church is that Christianity is not put in a context appropriate for today's young people. Increasingly there are bands springing up to address the teen/youth age group, but this latest creation from CCM manager Norman Miller (who in the past helped create Jump5) are without a doubt aimed directly at the younger 'tweenage' market. Their debut self-titled album exists on two clear levels. The overtones are quirky and saccharin sweet but there is an obvious message. Songs like "Pray", "When I Get To Heaven" and "Thy Word" leave no doubt that this is a worship record, and when interspersed with the even more lively "360", the single "What If" and a cover of Kenny Loggins' "Footloose" the key to this album is its unremitting energy and for a young person trying to make the connection between God and enjoyment could make all the difference. A well crafted album with track lengths to match the average youngster's attention span and more fun than the oldies can cope with. More from pureNRGSee all...
