There is such a variety of music found on this recording that it's impossible to pigeonhole. Just imagine Pink Floyd and The Waterboys forming a band with Randy Stonehill on vocals. Believe it or not it makes marvellous music! Wayne Scott Farley's fluid guitar and melodic vocals add an attractive atmosphere to this album recorded with his band Force For Good. If you're tired of Nashville identikit rock-by-numbers, drink deeply of this and be refreshed by poetic lyrics and music unrestrained by grey suits. Sometimes it's ambient rock, sometimes it's acoustic and mellow, heavy this isn't! There are moments when it meanders in a Van Morrison sort of way which is relaxing on the spirit. Then there are genuine surprises -when was the last time you heard a French horn on a rock record? This is definitely something different. Every time I listen to this, I discover something fresh and realise this is 10 million miles away from the majority of Christian music. Favourite song at the moment is "Fields Of Faith" with its bigger picture of the life beyond this one and gorgeous guitar work. Truly an album of great beauty. Footnote: I've just discovered that Tony Loeffler And The Blue Angels are flying in to play the Cross Rhythms Festival and who should be guitarist with the same but one Wayne Scott Farley! I'm now so blessed I'm probably glowing as I contemplate Wayne doing some impromptu acoustic versions of his wonderful songs in a tent in Devon. See you there.
