Ronald Dunn's personal experiences of tragedy and depression are woven into his detailed studies of Jacob's wrestling with the angel, Job's catalogue of sufferings and King David's disappointments. He assures readers that such periods of difficulty are inevitable in our lives, but even though we flee God in these times he will not abandon us.

Ron Dunn agonises over the way good and evil are inextricably mixed up in our lives, how we often struggle 'until the breaking of day' against what are in fact our blessings. In this book he encourages you that, although you may cry out as Jesus did on the cross, God will never abandon you.

Ronald Dunn was in ministry for more than thirty years before his death in the summer of 2001. In 1975, he left the pastorate to found Lifestyle Ministries, an organisation that promotes conferences and produces Bible study tapes for missionaries, lay people and students.

Dunn travelled for much of the year, holding conferences and speaking overseas. Dunn also served as an adjunct professor at two seminaries. He is the author of several books, including the popular Don't Just Stand There.. Pray Something.
