A set of worship songs based o the theme of the Trinity with vocals by Lou Fellingham, Matt Redman, Cathy Burton and others. |

Reviewed by Stuart Blackburn What does it say about contemporary worship when some of its key proponents feel compelled to base a compilation on the theme of God? References to the Trinitarian nature of God dominate and the message is well and truly received by the fourth track. Having said that some may find the theology of these songs is overly simplistic and may provoke even the chronically hymn-phobic to long for Charles Wesley. Apart from Geraldine Latty's irritating "Dance Of Our God", this is a good quality collection and Lou Fellingham, Matt Redman, Cathy Burton and the other friends who provide the vocals here. Highlights include Martin Layzell's rendition of "Holy Father" but best of the bunch is awarded to Chris Hanley's interpretation of Kendrick's "We Believe". Alan Rose provides electric guitar reminiscent of the Knight Rider theme giving the 20 year old chestnut an unexpected new lease of life. Nathan Fellingham has a hand in some of the writing and his masterful production brings coherence to the whole project. More from Phatfish, Matt Redman, Brenton Brown, Cathy BurtonSee all...
