Mark Mohr and friends have been going for nearly two decades now and this, their latest offering, have delivered what song critics are already calling Christafari's best ever collection of bass thumping yet most rootsy tracks to date. Kicking off with the outstanding "Freedom Step" pointing the way from addiction, through the extremely catchy "Rooftop" guaranteed to stick with you after a listen or two, and finishing with "Triumphal Entry" with its Mexican trumpet playing fused to a delicious Trenchtown riddim. In the words of track four, "Hunger & Starvation", ''I am trying to stop my people from dying'', this CD will speak to people where other music will not reach. The reggae gospel pioneers deliver a creative tour-de-force.

The reggae gospel pioneers return with most rootsy tracks to date.

On their rootsiest effort to date, Christafari revisits their musical and spiritual foundation with dramatic results. Full-bodied horn melodies, heart-pounding bass, and precisely executed drum rhythms form the perfect background for front man Mark Mohr and his guest vocalists to flex their talents, moving from roots reggae to dancehall and back again. Lyrically this project is jam-packed with the unwavering Word of God!

I saw Christafari at Creation Fest and they're excellent.

This is a fantastic album. I immediately loved Rooftop and Triumphal Entry. Most of the other tracks started off as being quite good and then grew on me. Never Give In is excellent and inspiring, beautiful drum sound too, that snare is lovely! Eternal Reverberations is also really nice, cool sounds.

I won't describe all the tracks as you can hear samples on this site before buying. I rate this as a must have - only really 2 tracks I'm not so keen on, Nairobi and Too Many Cannibals. That's just me though. On the whole, definitely recommended. It's been played here A LOT with the volume and bass cranked up :)
