So many worship compilations, so little time: what's the unique selling point of this series? Apparently it's "music from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds." Only if you include white English speakers, it is. And the booklet fails to say which CDs the tracks come from. But enough about what's excluded: what's included? Well known songs from Robin Mark, Brian Doerksen and David Ruis; covers from Jeff Deyo/Sonicflood (not sure about rocking up George Beverly Shea, though); Kim Hill and Scott Wesley Brown turning their hands pleasingly to worship material; Chris O'Brien from Sydney (CCC Oxford Falls, slightly brasher than Hillsong) and Simon Goodall. If worship in a daytime Radio 2 style is your bag, these 77 minutes will do nicely. But it's a crowded market.
