Reviewed by Trevor Kirk

A 1997 album by the expatriate Welsh singer/songwriter and Alaskan pastor (see Time Tunnels, CR50), recorded at Upstream Studios in Coleraine, Co Antrim, and produced by Barry (Liberation Suite) Bynum, with Barry and lots of native Ulster talent joining in with their Uillean pipes, whistles and bodhrans. To be honest, even in his heyday at the end of the 1970s, Kevin's voice never was particularly strong, and the march of time has done his pipes no favours. His songwriting also seems to be stuck in a time warp, as many of these songs sound dull and dated by 21st century standards. In fact, things only liven up when Kevin lets his hair down and rocks a little; "Every Knee Shall Bow", inspired by Philippians 2, is a slab of 12-bar blues/rock, and is the best track by some distance. As for the rest, it's sadly rather forgettable.
