With a reputation as one of Christian rock's hardest working bands and over 10 years of music output this 15-track compilation showcases the best of Canada's Hawk Nelson. With five studio albums to choose from you get to hear a real cross section from this talented four-piece. Kicking off with "Friend Like That" this album bounds along in a full frontal display of pop punk energy. The usual suspects are all here, from the pogoing "California" to the more recent textured rock of "Crazy Love". Although the tracks are not set chronologically you can hear how the band has developed and matured. Radio-friendly pop rock tracks follow one after another, never compromising in their witty lyrics that put contemporaries such as Blink 182 and Sum 41 to shame. With the news that long standing vocalist Jason Dunn is leaving the band this will underline all Hawk Nelson have achieved in his time with them. There are no extras or unreleased tracks added, but this compilation will provide a comprehensive introduction to a band who know how to put together hooky, inoffensive rock tunes.
