Young American rock band, featuring female vocalist, have their first record label album. |
|
Reviewed by Alan Chesters This is the first fully distributed album by this young Houston church-based rock band led by brother and sister Marcus and Sam Acker with Sam handling the leads. They write all the material and Sam takes lead vocals throughout, her voice often bearing comparison with Rebecca St James. These 11 tracks were recorded in Nashville and the band have clearly created a sound and a message in the lyrics to reach hurting young people. Standout chorus has to be on "One More Night" - "She'll spend one more night on a dirty floor... and she's hopin', prayin', she's searching for something ..." Young people should be encouraged to give this album a hearing. More from InhabitedSee all...
