Small but perfectly formed, this seven-song mini-album pays homage to Bruce Wilkinson's huge selling meditation on 1 Chronicles 4:10 (look it up). CCM, Nashville, has trundled out a series of dull "music inspired by the book" CDs recently; in contrast, this recording positively sparkles with heavenly light: - from the hauntingly melodic opening "This Is My Prayer" with Margaret Becker and Sarah Sadler; to Jill Phillips' memorable anthem "The Day is Dawning" which closes the show. Elsewhere, Phil Keaggy (sans guitar) lends his underrated voice to a catchy folk-inflected ditty "Touch Of Greatness" ;and dc Talk boys Kevin Max and Michael Tait earn their corn in the backing vocal department. In the music-accompanying-the-book marketing slot there's been a lot of mediocrity. At last, here's an album worthy of the book.
