This is the latest in a long line of albums, spanning a 22-year career by Moore who has slowly moved from youthful pop rock when he fronted The Distance to a more mature acoustic roots sound. 'Speak To Me' is an album that expresses a passion for both music and God through the gravelly Bruce Springsteen-esque vocals of Moore, plus some brilliant guitar riffs by Dana Weaver and the album's co-producer Dwayne Larring (By The Tree, Matt Redman). Moore's own distinctive vocals are not only complimented by gifted musicianship, he is joined on "When I Get Where I'm Going" by guest vocalist Christy Nockels on a track that talks about what life will be like when we get to Heaven. The song was originally a huge country radio hit for Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton and Moore and Nockels give the song a fresh new feel. The angelic voice of Kendall Payne is also featured on "He Knows My Name", a beautiful song written by Tommy Walker. From the resounding cry of "Speak To Me" to the melodious and gentle "Erase", songwriters including Jim Cooper, Phillip LaRue, Joel Hanson and Moore himself have given us songs ensuring that this album has something for everyone.
