Shaken Yet Stirred: Alive To Life And Loving It by Shelley du Plessis

These are the steps the Spirit of God revealed to me as I chose to walk to wholeness. They take time, there has to be a brutal honesty as you approach things and situations, there will be times of weeping, grieving, going back to retrace ground and feeling you will never be able to continue. I felt like that often, but then, with the empowering of the Spirit, I would pull myself together and start all over again. (I am so glad I did; I am alive.) My advice: cling to Jesus; there is no-one else who can help you endure the journey to wholeness. At times, I felt I may explode, followed by times of feeling like I wanted to implode. Often, I didn't know if I wanted to go out with a bang-loud and spectacular, or as a heap of ash-dirty and insignificant. This is an emotional, spiritual roller coaster ride like nothing you have ever experienced but, at the end of the ride, you are dishevelled, naked, transparent, truly turned inside out and upside down, with your heart racing, but you are, for the first time, alive, and at peace. Shaken indeed, yet stirred.
