Reviewed by Paul Poulton It is sounding dated but still worthwhile; not UB40 but not Sly and Robbie either, somewhere in-between. There are aspects of feel-good reggae and some succinct, short, sharp quaver bass lines. "Majesty" is on here and so is "Lord I Lift Your Name On High", maybe I'm too twitchy but I'm not sure they belong here. Mark Mohr is a good writer, he performs his own stuff admirably and doesn't really need popular covers. There's an enjoyable looseness to the rhythm section and a very slightly off key brass section and in some cases vocals, commensurate to '70s reggae, anyone remember the "Tighten Up" (Trojan) series? My friend and I had to hide a copy behind our backs because we met an elder from the church in the high street just after we'd purchased a copy of 'Tighten Up Vol 2' with the excellent track "Longshot Kick De Bucket" on it. Can't help but be thankful to Mark for keeping the feel alive with the big bonus of being able to praise God to the music he has laid down. 12 original songs from Christafari's first release, 'Reggae Worship Volume 1' (1993) and seven previously unreleased bonus tracks recorded by the band (1992-1999).
