An interesting TLA (three letter acronym), RPM here stands for Revolutionary Praying Man/Revivals Per Minute. Well, the Brothers, yes, they really are, Solomon, Jacob and Joshua Olds do have a lot to say. "This is the first century that the Church has not led the arts," says their inner sleeve. So what should we expect? Art-house poetry, obscure and obtuse musings of interest only to a lyric scholar? In fact accessible it is, even commercial, all it lacks is focus. Starts off revolutionary enough, raw rock meets hip hop with a surprise Who cover, "Won't Get Fooled Again", enough to shake anybody's preconceptions. This radical side slowly subsides however and the second half wanders around not sure whether to get really soulful as on "Hide Me Away" or stay a bit close to boy singing group land. Caught a bit between two or perhaps four stools, I reckon. So although individual tracks would rate up to eight squares it all averages out to six.

"The Brothers" is the best christian band of the 90's...NO, make that EVER!!! their hit single "make my house a home" basically brought my family back together again. Now, i am in love with their most current band "Family Force 5." if anyone knows how i can get my hands on their music video, let me know.
