If you'd heard Mr Shackleton's recent interview on Rimmerama you'd know that this Crewe-based singer/songwriter released this 10 song project in 2008 but is only now beginning to tell Joe Public about it! The first thing that strikes the listener about this, Chris' second album, is the gentle, laid back quality of the music contrasting somewhat with the lyrics, which are pretty basic and seldom stray beyond stereotypical declarations of love for God with frequent quotes from the Scripture. The meditational quality of the music coupled with the fact that most of the lines are more or less just Bible verses means that the listener is presented with God, his deeds and promises to meditate on - never a bad thing. None of the songs really stand out from the others and the production from the usual team of musos at Lincoln's dB studios is competent enough without being adventurous. It's all pleasant enough but more memorable songs are needed for 'Nowhere 'Til You Take Me There' to stand out from the crowd.

I'm getting this album for Christmas this year and I can't wait. I've only heard one track on it so far, but having had a sneak preview of Chris's music I know I'm going to love it.
