The inspiration behind 'Not In My Family' is to promote change in attitudes in the African American communities where HIV/AIDS is running rampant. The album, featuring a bevy of top gospel names, offers songs of hope, reconciliation, truth and love. Byron Cage, Kirk Franklin, the McClurkin Project, Yolanda Adams, the Curt Carr Singers and blue eyed soul man Jon Gibson have tracks taken from previous albums though it has to be said that the information, targeted as it is on the American AIDS plight, offers little here for British consumers.

AIDS in the African-American Community – Songs Of Healing And Inspiration
AIDS/HIV is of epidemic proportions in the US. This CD is an unprecedented collection by some of Gospel’s best-selling artists including Kirk Franklin, Byron Cage, The McClurkin Project, Percy Bady and others.
It will create awareness and encourage a shift in attitudes and behaviour that contribute to the spread of HIV/AIDS. The CD includes a special new song of tribute and encouragement by New Direction, You Can Make It.
