A collection of instrumental classic worship songs by UK musicians.

Beautifully played instrumental versions of popular worship songs, each offering moments outside the busyness of life, a chance to reflect, to refocus and to be renewed by the Holy Spirit. Moments Of Reflection is the first in a superb new series featuring gentle arrangements expressed with skill on guitar, cello, piano, mandolin, saxophone and whistles. These will strip away the stresses of the day, leaving you equipped to face whatever life throws your way with a smile!

Spring Harvest have brought out many types of albums off the back of the Easter conference including live, studio and children's projects but this is the first time that an instrumental album has ever been released under the Spring Harvest banner. However, I'm not convinced they will find a large audience with this, a collection of far from imaginative instrumental renditions of well known worship songs played by UK session musicians. The misty blue lake with a small wooden boat on the album cover reflects the sound that comes out of the speakers - warm, Scottish, Celtic tones, with an array of lead instruments including flutes, whistles, piano and guitars. The highlight of the album has to be "Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble?" which features a wall of guitars from the talented Dan Wheeler in the choruses and beautiful melodious flute from Mike Haughton that captures this anthemic song in a reflective way. There could have been more room for this style in a song like "Hungry" but generally the rest of the album is a lot more downbeat without as much percussion. This is an okay album but, in truth there are many similar instrumental albums already out there.
