Reviewed by Andrew Lamb If you like bounce around feel good Christian music then you need look no further than Pocket Full Of Rocks' (PFOR) new entry 'Manifesto'. It has been said of PFOR that they are "A worship band with roots deep in the church" and deliver a fine set. They open with "Good To Be Here" which will be winging it's way to the top 10 in the not too distant future as the lyrics and instruments in it pound out an upbeat tune that will have you singing along as if they were there in your living room. The strong set up from the first song continues through the whole of the album and leaves one at the end of it wanting more. "Let The Worshippers Arise" will be another mature anthem from the album with its infectious tune and harmonious vocals. There are more melodic times within the album in the form of "Heal", a slower number yet one with powerful male and female vocals providing yet another sing-a-long ballad for you to croon to. Years of practice has enabled this Franklin, Tennessee-based band to become confident in their gifting and the album is well thought through and structured. PFOR provide us with what they do best, an honest approach to popular music with a strong based Christian message coming across as the thing that runs paramount in this band's lives. An intelligent album. More from Pocket Full Of RocksSee all...
