As many are now recognising this has become a golden age for modern worship and much of the creative and spiritual progress that this movement has made over the last five years has been due to the internationally influential work of the group of singers, instrumentalists and songwriters originally based in Redding but now successfully ensconced in Sacramento. What is impressive about Jesus Culture albums is that they have maintained such a high creative standard, never allowing the pressure to deliver a new set of songs to weaken their resolve to present the Church with music which has a prophetic edge and a real sense of God speaking to those who love him. On their first live set for a while each of Jesus Culture's singer/songwriters present quality new songs, Chris Quilala with a surging "Halls Of Heaven", Kim Walker Smith with the haunting title track and the stirring "Let Our Faith Become A Mountain" and Bryan Torwalt with "Sound Of Adoration". There are also impressive contributions from Chris McClarney, Ruthie Ridley and Jon Egan. With worship albums I have stopped trying to guess which song, if any, will circle the globe and become a world Church hit but I must admit I have a gut feeling there are a couple here where that is likely. In recent times some critics have suggested that Jesus Culture's production sound with its drawn out passages on which their singers may or may not sing prophetically and extensive use of quiet part-loud part-quiet part dynamics make their albums "samey". To me though, they have found a wonderful way of engaging our emotions and leading us into the throne room.

Chris Quilala, Kim Walker-Smith and others leading live worship from the Sacramento church.

As one of the most influential faith movements in the world, Jesus Culture has been capturing the heart of a community seeking after Jesus with live albums for years. Returning this August with their 10th live album, LOVE HAS A NAME is the latest expression from Sacramento based Jesus Culture. LOVE HAS A NAME includes 12 brand new songs featuring Kim Walker-Smith, Chris Quilala, Chris McClarney, Bryan & Katie Torwalt, and more.

'Every day we are faced with negativity in media and in the world,' shares worship leader Chris Quilala. 'It's so important for us, the church, to be a light in the darkness and a beacon of hope and joy. 'Love Has a Name' is all about declaring who God is. It's a strong proclamation of His name, the Name above every other name.'

This release follows the Jesus Culture's 2016 highly impactful album, 'Let It Echo'. Jesus Culture music has continued to create worship songs for their local congregation as well as for those around the world, but it is at their church home that they experience these songs first during the writing and recording process.

'So much growth has taken place in our community in the last couple years,' explains Katie Torwalt. 'We have experienced and walked though more together so I believe the songs of worship run that much deeper! Relationship is so important in the kingdom and that is something that we are pursuing as a church right now. It can be messy and humbling but the reward of connection is so worth it. We believe creativity flows from a place of healthy connection.'

'It was really fun to hear the positive feedback from our church family to the new songs,' Kim Walker-Smith adds. 'They were really excited and also felt like the songs really express the season we are in as a community.'

Jesus Culture will be taking these songs along with their other renowned worship songs once again on the Outcry Tour beginning in August in the USA. The group has been part of this special worship tour from inception and have seen first hand the worship landscape across the country.

'I think UNITY was the thing that stood out to me as we've been on this tour,' shares Derek Johnson. 'I think the church is supposed to be very diverse, but diversity doesnít have to mean disunity. Outcry provides a unique experience of so many people from so many different upbringings and backgrounds to come together and worship - to be together in Christ above all other things. I think itís vital and that kind of unity in the church will shout to a watching world that we are a family. I remember at times just hearing the voices in the arenas and thinking we all just really love Jesus. Thereís a simplicity and a togetherness that I think often happens easiest in worship.'

Jesus Culture invite you to share in their community and declare LOVE HAS A NAME.
