Ann Phipps is a Malaysian-born ex-nurse who has now turned her attentions to producing worship songs. She has produced two albums to date with the first 'Walk On Water' released in 2003. Her latest offering 'Living Legacy' is described as "10 songs of realisation, appreciation, hope and celebration." The first track "You Are" is an upbeat number about God pervading every area of our lives while the title track has a MOR melody with children's backing more suited to a church musical production as does "The Lord Is Risen". A really bizarre rap on "Angel Hands" does little to enhance the creativity. However, a couple of piano-based instrumental tracks "My Sanctuary" and "Watchmen At Daybreak" provide a reflective respite. While there is no doubting Ann's musical ability, her voice lacks depth and the songs on this album sound extremely musically dated.
