Released on Ernie Haase's Stowtown Records, it is not difficult to understand why the Southern gospel star saw something in these three young men and offered them a recording contract. Their harmonies are very easy on the ear and very melodious and their diction is very good. What is also refreshing is that the material is mainly all new and they have wisely attempted to create a fresh new sound. Having said that, ironically my favourite track is "Peace In The Midst Of The Storm" which was actually written in 1978. However, all the 11 songs here are strong with memorable lyrics and a creditable orchestral-type backing with the opener "So Amazing To Me" another highlight. So if you're looking to expand your Southern gospel collection beyond the Gaither-associated acts I strongly advise you to have a listen to this fine new group.

New Artist of the Year nominee at 2012's GMA Awards, Beyond the Ashes, is turning the heads of new fans and industry insiders who are eager to find out what happens next with this group. Frontman Anthony Facello, one of the most memorable voices in Christian music, doesn't take this opportunity lightly. "When I started the group, I never thought we would have the opportunity to partner with a hero of mine, Ernie Haase, so Dustin Doyle, Kellan Monroe and I could not be more excited about this new chapter."

Living in the Moment is the kind of project that delivers what listeners want enough of the unexpected to make it interesting (including a fresh cover of Jason Mraz's title tune), and enough of the familiar to make it inviting (classic harmonies and powerful messages).
