Canadian pop punk band Hawk Nelson recognise an important truth, there are people in the world who need to hear of the love of God in a pure way. Many do not appreciate "Bible bashers" I have discovered. They need gentle love more than anything else. So it is wonderful when you come across a group that communicates the problems in our modern society with an insightful Godly eye without being obnoxious. This 2009 studio album boasts relevant lyrics, put together with singable hooks, just as pop music should be. There is a guest appearance by Toby Mac on "Eggshells", one of the most connecting songs on the record. It's good to hear children adding their input to an album too, on the title track. There is light relief in "Ode To Lord Stanley", a sentiment we can all share I feel. The lyrics are honest and enlightening. "Tis So Sweet" is a beautiful cut, produced perfectly and really inspiring. Overall, this album is up there with Hawk Nelson's best efforts.

On the title track and opening song of their fourth album, Hawk Nelson urges its listeners to “Live Life Loud.” That sentiment, founding member Daniel Biro notes, is “as Hawk Nelson as Hawk Nelson can be.” Live Life Loud. It’s not just a matter of volume, mind you; it’s a philosophy. Part of living at the extreme that title suggests is embracing all of life, accepting and even celebrating a little pain and darkness and finding a way to let it enrich life.
This powerhouse, pop rock foursome hailing from Canada has won the hearts of fans worldwide having sold over half a million albums since their 2004 debut release Letters to the President. Hawk Nelson made a cameo appearance in the hit Nickelodeon film “Yours, Mine, & Ours,” where they played their original song “Bring Em Out,” as well as having their songs featured on the Hit TV show Smallville.
