Reviewed by Tom Lennie

Once again we get highlights from some of last year's live worship events, such as New Wine, New Frontiers, Focusfest, Grapevine and Soul Survivor, as well as from live solo performances c/o Johnny Parks, Paul Oakley and Brian Houston, with a couple too from Bradford's Abundant Life Ministries. You'll find loads of terrific upbeat sounds on this 32-track two CD (though I did find one or two of Dave Bilbrough's tunes rather corny), while relatively few songs appear in the gentler “adorational” category. There's even a couple of “international” numbers, eg, from Langley Vineyard and Toronto's 'Catch The Fire 8'. Of particular interest to my ears were songs by lesser known artists, such as Andy Bromley's anthem, "Glorious King", Neil Bennett’s "Who Is There Like The Lord Our God" and the reflective "Help Me To Be Holy" from Revelation Warehouse's 'Biography'. 'Live 2003' certainly reveals the quality of songwriting (and passion of spirit) that exists on the UK worship front, and if you didn't get (m)any of last year's festival releases, then this compilation might be just for you.
