As we've observed more than once in the countless reviews of worship albums Cross Rhythms has published down the years, stylistically and aesthetically there is often little difference between a classic album and a mediocre one, save the quality of the songs. And it seems Bradford's mega-church has uncovered in Matt Hooper a magnificent new songwriter and worship leader. Three of his songs here - the full tilt rocker "Rest Of My Life", the wistfully mellow "Let The World See Jesus" and the instantly memorable "Live To Love You" - are powerful enough to become staples in hundreds of churches. With a tight, punchy pop rock band and a throng of excellent young voices singing the 13 originals here, this is atmospheric and soul-lifting music. Abundant Life continues to be one of the key sources for new fresh worship music.
