Gareth is the worship pastor at Kings Church Portsmouth and this is his second solo release in two years. Teamed with musos from different churches in the area and working as part of the Solid Ground Band, Gareth presents 12 songs here. He lets fly with both barrels with the opener "My Life Is Yours", with good guitar riffs by Simon Hill and some cracking drums by Josh Brown. Track two, the title track, has good lyrics although the lead vocals need a little work - this shows up on several tracks throughout the album and just shows the need for vocal exercises and vocal training. "Your Mercy Is All Around" is another good track as bassist (Trowen) works exceedingly well with drums, guitars, pads and keys to bring together a great sound. This album has a raw and unrefined sound and shows great potential for all involved. For me the cream is at the end of the album with "Always Safe" and "Be My Lord" as even though these are slower, they show the real potential of Gareth.
