For the longest part of its 100 year plus history the Keswick Convention was a gathering emphasizing the gift of preaching. Worship was pretty perfunctory if truth be told. However, in the modern decade thanks first to worship leader Geoff Baker and now John Risbridger a more contemporary approach has been gradually eased in. Now don't get me wrong, you won't find loud rock guitars and pumped up excitement at Keswick. But as Risbridger and compatriot Colin Webster demonstrate here, there mission to bring the songs of Martin Smith, Dave Bilbrough, Paul Oakley and Kate Simmonds to the diverse Keswick throng is not without merit.
