Reviewed by Greg Inglis

The title says it all here as American rapper KJ-52 (aka Jonah Sorrentino) offers up reworked versions of some of his most popular songs, eight of which originally featured on the 2005 release 'Behind The Musik'. Remix albums are notoriously hit and miss affairs but a lot of effort has clearly gone into this project with some radical reinterpretations like the brilliant "Jesus (Reggaeton Remix)" which gives the track a whole new Latin vibe. Members of Thousand Foot Krutch replace Jon Micah of Kutless to great effect on the rocky "Are You Real?" but it's the new version of "Dear Slim Part 2" which steals the show. It has a much darker edge to it than the original, adding new verses describing a pastor's encounter with the rapper where he was able to give him a copy of KJ's original "Dear Slim" track and talk to him about God. Whilst it's hard to avoid the Eminem comparisons as his voice and flow have much in common with his mainstream counterpart, KJ-52 is a hugely talented rapper in his own right and his production input has certainly paid dividends. A million miles away from a stop gap album and a release that ups the anticipation factor for the next set of fresh material.
