The debut EP from the one time thebandwithnoname man was produced by Sheffield's renowned guitarist Roo Walker and is very much a statement of musical intent indicating the various directions that Chip could take now that he is a solo. Judging by the five tracks on this CD Chip could pick one of several stylistic directions reflected here and do it successfully. The opening track "Call My Name" has an American college rock feel to it while the third song "Cole's Hill" demonstrates Chip's ability to sing like he'd attended the Westlife school of boy band singing. "Underground Army" is closer to the industrial big beat raps of thebandwithnoname and a powerful song it is too; written from the perspective of a spiritual solider in the war zone of life. All the tracks here are extremely well written and with "You And I" returning to a college indie rock feel show off Kendall's considerable talent as a singer. If I had to pick one track as outstanding I suppose I would have to chose "Underground Army" and this will probably be the one which connects with most immediately with thebandwithnoname's legion of fans. But, to be honest, each track is a well-crafted entity. I can't wait for an album to follow.

Another brilliant creation from Mr K!
As a big fan of the late bandwithnoname, the album for me was a great follow on.
The sound is still quite different from the band, with some amazing songs and lyrics that are slightly toned down from Thebandwithnoname's usual rock; with a touch of screaming and the occasional rap but still captured Chip's mad side and of course the 'everybody go crazy!' parts in the middle!
I've had the privelage of hearing it live which was amazing. Just the right balance of madness and the more toned down spiritual side, especially with the awesome track 'You and I'. Cole's Hill still comes out on top for me! Its a must-buy, especiall for TBWNN fans.

I got his CD K is for Kendall, and really enjoy the tracks, Couple friends listened to it and they liked it. My favorate track is Underground Army, Reminds me of Stan by Eminem, if not inspired by it. Also after watching The Preston Passion on BBC1, there was a story on there about World War 2 and the story behind it, I could not take my mind away from the track. In all you made a Impression on me and Look Forward to your next CD and hopefully another Tour back round to Fuel@The Grand in Clitheroe.
