'I Don't Want To Dance' is the first release on Dream Records for this highly regarded Wisconsin-based five-piece. From the opening track "Today Is A New Day" with its reflection on the choices that face us each new day, despite what we have experienced before, Loftland deliver a sound that strikes a middle ground between Owl City and American Authors, with infectious radio-friendly synth hooks that grab you and will not let go. "Girl Like That" continues the trend and explores the subject of relationships that weaves its way through many of the songs, with its vision of the ideal girlfriend, while "Lie To Me" describes denial in ending relationships. A particularly strong lyric is featured on "Hold On, Small One" with the Father encouraging a child. This 10 track debut album opens the door for this talented band and promises a lot for the future.
