The term Southern gospel encompasses a wide range of styles and the Taylors, from North Carolina, lean towards the country music end of things. The opening track "He Won't Fail You" is a fine song with a powerful fiddle accompaniment. Then the mood dramatically mellows on many of the other tracks with soft piano and orchestration, presenting a very different but still very good sound. Allied to the fact that this young trio, consisting of Jonathan, Chris and Suzanne, are fine singers, and the material is all new, makes for a refreshing and heartwarming set and though the rest of the album doesn't quite match up to the very lively opener it still demonstrates that the Taylors are destined for a long run in the crowded Southern gospel field. The plaintive solo by Suzanne on "That's What The Cross Is For" probably encapsulates what Christian music ought always to be about. Delightful!

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." (Romans 12:12)

One of Southern Gospel Music's favorite families presents their sophomore records with StowTown Records. When choosing material, themes of hope and healing rose to the surface. It seemed to be Divine providence seeing how the world is facing new fears and challenges.
