It's a great shame that at the very point a grassroots UK band called Bleach, an American band with big dollars behind them should come along baring the same moniker. No doubt Bleach from Wales will be forced to bow to US market forces very like the Welsh Third Day had to last year. But what of the music herein this three-song tape? Bleach have dropped their retro funk sound and do the Brit pop thing with a great deal of youthful zest. Maybe their current sound is a bit TOO Oasis to be entirely convincing but the hooks are here with the opener "Million Dollar Man" a snappy denouncement of materialism guaranteed to have you whistling "round the house. Not too much God talk (presumably the dispenser of love on "Daydreamer" is the Lord) but their sound is light and confident and presumably a CD isn't too far away.
