After listening to this a couple of times, I've decided not to do a standard review but rather to use this space to say a few words of advice to the artist, speaking as someone who grew up in Africa and now makes a living (just about) playing African gospel music on the radio. Sandra, you've got a nice voice and I'm sure you can write great songs. My advice to you is this: don't feel obligated to write songs in English. Write in a language you feel your most free expressing yourself in. If that means singing in Swahili (or whatever your native tongue happens to be), then do that, instead of coming up with really trite, simplistic lyrics just because some marketing person has said 'You need to sing in English; that's what the public understands.' You'll sound a lot more natural and confident, and the English speakers will enjoy it a lot more than this.

Sandra has potential but should sing in her original dialect (esp kiswahili). This will not only exploit her potential but also posture her in a selective segment of the market, mostly Kiswahili speakers here in the UK. The English dialect is unforgiving and warrants profound listening. George Luke has summed up everything!

I wish you all the best and be blessed for the nice CD.
