Seven-song CD of contemporary worship from young British worship leader. |
|
Reviewed by Ian Hayter This seven track CD of original material has been put together by Simon Brading, a young (20 years old) worship leader at the famed CCK church in Brighton. He's had experience leading worship at the Newday and Mobilise Newfrontiers events and a couple of tracks from the Newday event ("You Reign" and "I'm Alive") feature in this short set. There's a lot of biblical imagery and Psalm-like language in the lyrics, which add to the sense of worship, and musically the influence of artists such as Matt Redman is clearly apparent. In fact, Redman has the co-writing credits on "Many Times". It's an uplifting set from this young musician and there's plenty of promise here for the future.

An outstanding debut album, by an oustanding young man! Great production, and a good range of different tempo songs. I'll sing struck me most on first listen, but the kickin' Going your way is great too. Fresh versions of Simon's revious tracks I'm Alive, and You Reign are good too. Hope he is already working on a follow up! Well done Simon, proud of you.
