If you're a fan of Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, and their brand of live praise and worship with a choir and serious attitude, I think this'll bring a big smile to your face. Recorded partly live in North Carolina, this is joyously funky praise, particularly on the delirious opener "The Best Is Yet To Come" - all eight minutes of it. We're taken on an uplifting romp through soul, R&B, rap and gospel where both the heart and the quality of the performance are never once in doubt. Standouts? Many really, from the aforementioned opener, to gospel diva Ann Nesby, of Sounds Of Blackness fame, guesting on the sumptious title track. Now that's one party I wish I'd been at.
