Luke is the worship leader at the famed Metro Church International in Sunderland and this is his second album, following last year's 'Run' - which created no little amount of controversy on the Cross Rhythm's website. Luke is obviously aiming for the Redman/Hughes sound and herein may lay a problem. He never moves far from that MOR, big congregational style and the very clichéd lyrics will make the album hard work for the serious music fan. Having said that, it is impossible to deny the simple accessibility of his tunes. "Give Praise" is a great kid's praise song, with its splendid guitar riff, whilst "Praise Revolution" could become a classic teen anthem. In fact the words never get much beyond childlike simplicity and asking God's glory to "fall in this place" is a theme which repeats several times. Luke's voice sounds very Redman-like and has an occasional grittiness. His band come over as a very powerful outfit and the lo fi recording issues which seemed to upset some with the first album have been overcome. So, if you're looking for fairly predictable, undemanding worship songs this is probably one for you.

Second album from Sunderland's high profile worship leader.

Passionate new worship from Metro Church International worship leader Luke Finch. Glory Revolution displays the maturity of a life lived in reverence and worship. Luke's lyrics, by turns both powerful and intimate, have a refreshing honesty and immediacy that draw the listener in and focus their heart on our Creator. Backed by some of the UK's most gifted session players, tied together by producer Andy Harsant, Luke's songs find their breadth with a refreshing cadence that will see them resource and inspire worship throughout the UK.

My goodness John Hebden you know how to make an album sound great....

Actually I would be interested to know who the band are it's not on the album.

I heard one track in a friends car and the first thing I noticed was the Drums were absolutely kicking, anyone know who the drummer was???

This album rocks, songs of passion and a heart that truly cries out to God. It helps me to be able to do the same! "Glory and Fire" is my summary. Want more of God? - then get this album!!

Over all I wasn't that keen on it, it does have some good songs, but as an album, I was kinda disappointed, especially because I had a choice between this and Hillsongs London. Never mind!
