A stunning debut for anyone, the fact that this stems from a 14 year old is guaranteed to grab attention. Already selling big Stateside, this is much, much more than Christendom's "answer" to Britney Spears or Christina Agilera and at times this is nearer the crafted R&B of Janet Jackson than white girl pop. Production from Tedd T, Mark Heimermann and Michael-Anthony Taylor is in the pocket while Michael Smith even makes a rare venture into the production chair for the moving piano ballad, "Dear Friend". But its the cuts with the funky R&B rhythms which give Stacey's arresting bitter-sweet voice best service. "Don't Look At Me" kicks and has an in-your-face lyric encouraging people to look to Christ for a role model while the lyric "Everything", (homing in on praying for a future spouse and saving oneself for marriage), seems tailor-made for a youth generation losing it when the hormones kick in. All in all an album which puts into perspective that teen-pop may be a transitory fad but Amy Grant was 16 when she signed to Word. It looks like the delicious-voiced Stacie could be with us for many years as well.

A slightly more adult pop sound on the girls’ third, but still artfully crafted stuff.
