For All It's Worth by !Audacious

Manchester-based youth church Audacious have been prolific in terms of musical output over the last few years. This studio release sees the band - headed up by worship leaders Joel Weaver and Matt Hill - consolidate their standing as one of the UK's leading worship outfits with a glut of big, brash and bold songs that seek to glorify God with every power chord and crash cymbal. As is common practice for most contemporary worship releases these days, a couple of more contemplative songs are thrown into the mix to give the listener time to catch breath and songs like "You Alone" and "Move In Me" do the job nicely. Arguably, the Audacious band are at their best when churning out the kind of monster riffs contained within the thumping "Get Up" and "On Fire" and more material like this would have made this release truly stand out from the crowd and prevent it from being just another high octane worship album. A bonus DVD containing live versions of "Bounce", "A Tribe Called Praise" and "Glory To God" is thrown in for good measure in what is nonetheless a worthy addition to the Audacious portfolio.
