The 'Exodus' album of 1998, from Michael W Smith's Rocketown Records, was a landmark in contemporary worship. It has a who's who of artists, such as dc Talk, Jars Of Clay, Sixpence None The Richer, Crystal Lewis and Third Day, singing their own songs or interpreting songs written by others. The title track has a stunning instrumental intro written by Michael W Smith. The re-release adds three new tracks. Emerging female artist Nirva sings Martin Smith's "Jesus' Blood". Then the Delirious? frontmad himself is featured on vocals with the writer Taylor Sorensen on his song "Sing (Or The Rocks Will Get To)" and the album closes with "Hallelujah God Is Near" by the Robbie Seay Band. Michael W Smith feels that this album deserves another chance, six years on, to find more fans and who am I to argue?
