Describing themselves as "three cheesy boys playing folk instruments" this is a four song EP from the County Donegal lads with a fiddle player and bassist added to their usual line-up. It makes up for in exuberance what it lacks in polish. The first few bars of the opener "Something" sound rather like American singer/songwriter Eli in his earlier days but then takes on a rougher and, to be honest, slightly less tuneful edge. "Outcasts" benefits from being slower and more heartfelt with whistle and guitar to the fore while "Never Fade" talks of trusting in a God who can always be relied on - with some overenthusiastic percussion and slightly strained vocals. The final track "Missing You" is a chaotic song with a hoedown feel to it which is fun and slightly surreal. One suspects the band will improve with experience, certainly other music available through their MySpace page has a depth to it that this selection sometimes lacks.
