Classic Latin pop and rock from the masters of the genre. |

Reviewed by Tim Holden From the salsa opener "Now That I Have You" through the atmospheric pop anthem "Shine" to the closing rock stomper "Child Of The King" this album is class. Salvador have been around for over 10 years and are viewed by many as the best Latin band in Christian music at the moment and it is not hard to hear why. The album is well produced and could be mistaken for a Santana album in a couple of places. The songs are well written and explore some interesting ideas such as reflecting God's glory as the moon reflects the sun ("Shine") and how impossible it is to always be the heart and soul of the party ("Trying To Be The Sun"). While the lyrics don't leave many questions hanging and one or two lyrics have a tendency to indulge in "church" language with such an excellent singer as Nic Gonzales and such fine playing and production, this is still a classic set of Latin pop and rock.
