This lot are already making waves in their native America, from where I recently returned having heard a bunch about them. With a really cool name and Steven Curtis Chapman producing, Casting Crowns have it all going for them, and with a massive opener like "What If People Prayed", things get off to a perfect start. But there's more to this band than rock bluster. Mandolin, violin and accordion feature on US radio hit "If We Are The Body", a challenge to the Church of today to get more visibly involved in changing this world. The passion of lead vocalist and youth pastor Mark Hall jumps out of each set of lyrics, while Chapman's distinctive production touch (check out "Praise You With The Dance" and the superbly uplifting "Glory") makes this a must listen album. Start the New Year by buying this album and kick-start you passion for God once more.
