'Bless The Lord' is the debut gospel album from Marcia Green and Ken Ijah Boothe. They met at the recording studios in London where this album was recorded. Ken, the son of the legendary Ken Boothe, is definitely a chip off the old block. The song "Behold" is a prime example of his singing ability. He was working on another album (not gospel) when Marcia was asked to do some backing vocals for him. Marcia was also working on her own lovers rock album, which she almost completed. However, they decided to work on a gospel album after Marcia overcame some health and financial problems. Hence the appropriate title. Marcia has a good voice, she has been singing from a child in Sunday school, and the combination with Ken works well on the album. There are 11 tracks on this album and seven of them are original songs written by Marcia and Ken. There are some classic songs as well like "Footprints Of Jesus" and "Come This Far". However, the production quality is poor and the mix is not very good, though I still think that if you are a lover of reggae gospel this album is worth adding to your collection.

I have heard this album and seen Marcia perform at a concert last year in Croydon. I enjoyed it immensley.

I agree that the production could be better, a bit topsey but I enjoyed every track on this album, my favorite being, Backsliders (very brave to tackle this subject). A very good album to just put in and let play whilst your doing your housework and some good "dub tracks" at the end to dance to.
