Bill Gaither is, of course, the respected and near legendary father of Southern gospel music. This is a very rare solo release from Bill but I have to say I find it very disappointing. The arrangements of many of the songs sound tired and old fashioned so the one track on which we get an upbeat tempo "You Might Forget The Singer (But You Won't Forget The Song) is a relief! "The Longer I Serve Him" is also a very good song but I have to say I have heard it sung better elsewhere. Bill's wife Gloria joins him for a recitation on "We Have This Moment Today" but really much of the music here is dull, plodding and listless. Devoted fans of Bill Gaither might want to investigate but this solo effort from the veteran is, in truth, very weak.
