A live concert from one of today's most polished gospel choirs. The point of real note on the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir's series of successful albums has been an extra helping of sophistication and restraint. The excessive aggression bordering on wildness evident with some chorales is noticeably absent here. Having said which they can certainly step on the gas, with a particularly energetic male soloist. Can't name names 'cos this review tape has no cover. The great strength of these people is on tracks like the ballad "Praise Him" with its pulsating, slowly building grandeur, led by soaring female soloist and erupting into vocal fireworks. Nice variety, a classy recording.
