Of all the thousands of CDs I have ever heard or own, 2000's 'Glo' by Delirious? is the one that I consider to be the best (yes - better than Sgt Pepper or the like). Starting with a Gregorian Chant style opening that many consider to be typical of all Christian music, the album smashes the stereotype and continues to take Christian music simultaneously into the stratosphere of stadium rock and contemporary church worship. "My Glorious" is such a track, loud enough for a stadium, but with a congregational aspect. The songs are parcelled with four "Glo In The Dark" tracks which are spontaneous and even prophetic in nature. All that has been packed up with 1999's 'Mezzamorphis' album, which includes the beautiful tear-inducing "It's OK", and the singles "See The Star" and "Gravity". 'Mezzamorphis' is an album of some of Martin Smith's best songs, but with a slightly more chilled acoustic feel than the power of 'Glo'. If you missed either of these albums first time round be thankful for this re-release.
