In the last few years Aled Jones has, alongside all the other things he does, carved out a career for himself as a solo tenor. However, for most, he will forever be the boy who sang "Walking In The Air" (if not in The Snowman movie at least on the hit single). That iconic song is featured here, alongside 17 other tracks covering a selection of his adult recordings. On "Walking In The Air" and also "O Holy Night" the adult Aled is, thanks to recording technology, joined by himself as a boy. This reminds us that, ordinary tenor that he is now, Jones was once an outstanding boy treble. Other tracks include, as well as the title track, Rutter's "Pie Jesu", Frank's "Panis Angelicus" with Bryn Terfel and "Silent Night" with Hayley Westenra and again, his guests tend to overshadow Aled's pleasant but indistinctive voice. A good compilation for Aled fans if they don't already have the tracks on the original releases.
