As most hip-hop fans will know Trip Lee has now risen to the big time with his current album 'Between Two Worlds' debuting at number one on both America's Gospel (black) and Christian Music (white) album charts. This, the rapper's second album released in 2008, somehow escaped a Cross Rhythms review until now. CR radio picked up on the song "Superstar (Eyes Off Me)". On that track Trip gets things into perspective over a southern beat, "If you're looking for a superstar, I ain't the one you're searching for.". A standout cut is "Real Vision" where the MC addresses a number of issues from people not really knowing God, to evolution (the earth is a masterpiece), to twisting facts, to the fact that God is the creator. The encouragement is to find out what the word actually says and "embrace the Holy word that testifies to us about the Saviour." Tracks like "Inexhaustible" pointing to God's unfathomable nature drop a rolling beat with a tight flow to match. A number of Philly guests really add to the album, the East Coast roller "Cling To You" features Shai Linne while the banger "Come Close" gives mic room to Flame and Sho Baraka. On "Who He Is", Lecrae brings some excellent vocals with Cam also bringing the heat on the mic. Good stuff.

The second album, released in 2008, by the highly successful rapper.

Do you see Him clearly? You've heard about God, you've heard the name Jesus before, but do you really know who He is?

With this landmark album, the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed debut, If They Only Knew, Trip Lee wants to give every listener 20/20 vision.

Looking through a Biblical lens, Trip Lee introduces us to the person of God using incredible beats and diverse lyrical flow. As one of most anticipated and truth-centred albums of 2008, this will be a staple for any hip hop fan.
